The best reasons to come home

And now, for a moment of cute…..

In the midst of travel (and writing the summary of the travel), there is one thing that that I miss more than anything else. Well, two things.

We’ve very lucky to have found an excellent pet hotel for the boys when we travel. The owner of the hotel is Bibiana, and she is now known as Tia Bibiana to the boys. When we went for our first meet and greet, they both took to her immediately. It was clear that she knew about dogs, and even recommended the vet that we now use (who is similarly awesome).

In a first for us, Bibiana requires a blood test for all dogs within a few days before the stay. When we asked why, her response was, “Why not?”. She wanted to know if there were any issues that she needed to know about. We couldn’t argue with that logic.

She and her team have spoiled the boys. I got multiple pictures twice a day during our travels, and for the first time I think I can say that I never worried once about them while we were gone. I knew if there were any issues, the vet she called was our vet, so they were in good hands. And, not surprisingly, the cost for them to stay is less than half of what we paid back in Texas.

The morning we went to pick them up, I got two more pictures. Tia Bibiana had given them a bath and a nail trim. And some bow ties!

Such handsome boys. We’ve already booked their stays for our next two trips.
